Malavalli Taluk is one of the socially, economically and educationally backward areas in Karnataka state. To overcome these setbacks it is imperative to educate the inhabitants of this area. Realizing this undisputed fact, Late, Sri. K.N.Nagegowda and his associates made an initiative to bring up a degree college in his homeland. Hence the Shanthi Education Society (R) was established in the year 1970 with the noble mission of ‘Providing Higher Education to the Rural Children’.
